OUR HISTORY
In 1958, my parents opened a small window shop called Bernard Woodworking. They were the only two employees, with me and my sister Debbie running underfoot. Soon, both the business and our family expanded, and we began the journey that led to the Lumberyard and Home Center that we are today.
We’ve come a long way from humble beginnings. With the help of my brothers, Bryon and Daryn, exceptional staff, and four generations of the Bernard family, Bernard Building Center has proudly earned the title of the largest Independent Lumber Dealer in Northeastern Michigan. Thank you all for making it possible.
